Ghosts, Apparitions, and Spirits

Numerous places are reputed to be haunted: Adobes and mansions; brothels, boarding houses, and hotels; jails, sanitariums, and hospitals; lighthouses; tunnels and passageways beneath old Chinatowns; and gold and silver mines.

We visited many of the above hoping to see, hear, or feel the presence of a spirit, but no such luck.

Then one day in a local cave, Lee captured on film an apparition not visible to our naked eyes.

DSC_0029-4x6The cave manager agreed it was possible because he heard that a man had died in the cave. But the rescue unit serving that district had no record of a death in the cave, only several rescues. Their opinion is that our warm breath met the cold cave air to form the white vapor “apparition” .

What do you think?

Do you have any ghost tales or apparitions to share this month?
