BASEBALL

My adult daughter just returned from her annual visit to review MLB spring training in Arizona where she attended 11 games in 6 days and saw 14 of 15 teams play in 9 of 10 ball parks.

When she was 10 years old, out of the blue, she asked me, “Who was the Lone Ranger?”

In my youth, I listened to the adventures of the Lone Ranger and Tonto on the radio. I proceeded to explain that “He was a Texas Ranger who . . .”

“Oh, yeah?” she interrupted. “What position did he play?”
